Everyday Ghost was established in 2009 by Aaron Lenk and Sean Haller. The initial year was dedicated to composing, recording, and seeking a drummer. After auditioning several candidates, they welcomed Bobby Butterfield in early 2010, released a demo titled "the Scripture," began performing live, and embarked on creating a full-length album. Prior to launching their debut album "Volume One" in 2011, Aaron and Sean opted to rename the band to Everyday Ghost.
Subsequently, due to health concerns, Bobby Butterfield departed from the band and was succeeded by Nate Cupp. With a renewed lineup, they issued their eponymous album "Everyday Ghost" in October of 2014. The album's single "The Cure" garnered the "Best Rock Video" accolade at the 30th Annual Review Music Awards.
Initially a trio, the band expanded by adding lead guitarist Pete Metropoulos in 2016 to enrich their musical texture. Aaron and Pete had previously collaborated on several projects outside of Everyday Ghost, one of which materialized into the album "Fireset." Released in November of 2017, "Fireset" featured John Macaluso (known for his work with Yngwie Malmsteen, Ark, TNT, Symphony X, Lynch Mob) on drums and was accompanied by a music video for the single "Antidote." Bobby Butterfield rejoined on drums to support the Fireset album.
The year 2017 concluded with the successful launch of Fireset and an album release celebration. However, early in 2018, the band had to bid farewell to Bobby Butterfield again. After several unsuccessful attempts to find a new drummer, they recruited Jose "Jojo" Jimenez later that year and eventually Mario Salcedo took over the role.
The pandemic brought challenges and fluctuations, leading to changes in the band's lineup. Currently, we are back to being a trio with new prospects on the horizon.
